1960 Cadillac Series 62
"Charlotte"
I purchased Charlotte in April 2015 and sold her in October 2015. I got her from a kid who had plans to restore her but never got around to it. He had bought her from the estate of a Cadillac collector.
Although she has a very straight rust free body, Charlotte had a lot of problems. Her front end sheet metal and bumper was gone, she had no front seat, side windows broken, rear axle was disconnected and not centered, and her engine was partially disassembled and full of water.
Wait a minute...why did I buy this car??
Fortunately, I got a good deal on Charlotte, she has potential, and I have two 1960 Cadillac parts cars. I used the parts cars to reassemble Charlotte's front end so she looks like a real car now. Her rear axle had a snapped trailing arm and the differential cover had been removed for years, so I swapped out the rear axle for a good one. After some strategic spray painting, she looked better.
Charlotte's new owner plans to restore her back to stock.
